Italian bayonet for the experimental Valdocco Rifle M1869 n/s.

Unusual brass hilted yataghan bayonet. Not correctly identified in the printed references that include it. This example is missing the spring and stud. The brass hilt is nicely marked with two digit numbers and an inspection stamp. The blade shows some areas of moderate pitting that has been cleaned. There is a nice inspection stamp on the ricasso. A rare bayonet.
