Sardinian Hunting socket bayonet w/s.

I'm classifying this one as Sardinian based on the ricasso shape. But it really could come anywhere along the Mediterranean. The blade is engraved on both sides. One side features two crossed swords and a heart. The socket is very unusual. It is brass and hammered into an intricate pattern with each flat face having a another shape stamped into it. The scabbard is gorgeous. Leather body with brass fittings. The leather decorated with the criss cross pattern often seen on 18th century scabbards. A really exceptional set.
