Normally we see these V-notch pommel modifications on 98/05 bayonets. This is a very rare example of a M1871/84 modified in this matter. The notch was designed to de-militarize the bayonet and make it unable to fit on a rifle. The cross guard is marked with a Koblenze police marking. W/88 on the spine. Made by Alex Coppel.
