Most of the officer's sockets have a knife blade. This is one of the rare types that have a triangular blade. The blade is 245 mm at the shoulders. The socket length 60 mm. MRD 19.9 mm. Octagonal shank with nicely formed attachment shield. Two step slot for bottom stud. Face flute on the blade. Scattered pitting. Nicely maker marked with PD and flaming bomb in a recessed cartouche. Nice example for age.
