28" blade, elliptical in cross section. Both sides of the blade with a 7" panel at the base etched with floral motifs and flags. Blade nice, smooth and gray with no rust, pitting, or nicks. Nicely cast regulation style brass hilt made without folding counterguard. Guard is a bit loose on the tang. The grip retains 40% of the original leather and all 13 wraps of the heavy single strand brass wire wrap. Nickeled scabbard excellent, no dents, with brass drag, frog stud, and throat, made without ring mounts.
