US Type 1 ring attachment bayonet for the 1841 rifle n/s.

Commonly called the Snell model. This is one of the rare examples that was actually fitted to a rifle. C20 is the mating number stamped on the front edge of the muzzle ring. Rear ring is no present, but screw bolt is still in place. The latching mechanism is present and working well. Mild pitting on the blade with a small area of moderate pitting. A 1.5 inch section of the blade edge has 4 nicks, otherwise the edge is nice. Nice example of a very scarce bayonet.
